Back in 2000, I had a wonderful dream about a huge Victorian Age
flying machine. I've drawn it, made models of it and written stories about it ever since.
Early versions using the fish head sail at the front.

These are models I built and used in the comics. They're variations on the original idea.

to great artists who are
idols to amateurs like me.
To Winsor McCay

To Alphonse Mucha

To EC Comics of the '50s

A swirling girder got stuck in my head, so I put it in the nose of an alternate universe WWII bomber with a robotic bombardier.
That led to the
Septopus Pennyfarthing,
a
land vehicle with a robot controlled by another robot.

And the 8Ball, a tiny spacecraft.
I've been sketching this design
for many years, a hunching tortoise-like machine with stabilizers like a Chinese junk.
It began as a large spacecraft called the HUUT

Now, it's sort of a Victorian Klingon battle cruiser:
the Hench

and the Kreppidd.

Big Ball, a spaceship design
and some big-ballin' action shots.

Its's the world's fastest Unicycle.
